KPC Donates CSR Fund to 11 Schoolsover 2 years
PT KPC’s commitment to develop education realized in 11 Schools in East Kutai. KPC symbolically handed over CSR to these schools at SDN 005 Sangatta Utara on Monday 5th September 2016. CSR Fund worth Rp1.2 Billion, was given by General Manager External Affairs and Sustainable Development (GM ESD) Wawan Setiawan to East Kutai Regent, Ir Ismunandar, ST. MT, which later given by Ismunandar symbolically to 11 Schools in East Kutai.
GM ESD Wawan Setiawan on his opening speech said, Assistance that were given is as form of KPC’s participation to accelerate the development in East Kutai, and also as catalyst in development, KPC will contribute to reach the vision of East Kutai’s government “Kutim Cemerlang”
The Regent hopes that KPC will always increase its contribution in improving the education in East Kutai.
Headmaster of SDN005 feels delighted because of CSR fund that was given by KPC to SDN005 to help this school build its canteen. And also she was so grateful because the regent came to inaugurate this canteen. She hopes KPC together with government can improve the development in East Kutai.
Headmaster of Al Munawaroh Kindergarten said, she is so thankful for KPC because of its CSR Fund which help this kindergarten since the beginning of construction until now.
A similar statement was delivered by Kristina, S. Pd, Headmaster of Asisi Elementary School. She said that at the beginning there were just 40 students who study at SD Asisi but now there are 600 students at this school so they need more classrooms and KPC realized their needs.
Not only school and education infrastructure construction, KPC has lot of Programs which increase the quality of local public education, which are scholarship, entrepreneurship for student through Junior Achievement Indonesia (PJI), training for teachers, student skills competition (LKS), and competence test for vocational High School (SMK).(*)
