The Biggest Non-Tax Payer, KPC Receive Award

The Government of the Republic of Indonesia through the Ministry of Finance re-awarded PT Kaltim Prima Coal (KPC). This time is given in the category as the Payer with the contribution of non-tax state revenues (PNBP), the largest for the Indonesian national budget.

The award is given by the Deputy Minister of Finance Mardiasmo, which was received by the Chief Financial Officer (CFO) KPC Ashok Mitra, in Dhanapala Ballroom, Jakarta, Tuesday (6/12).

In finance award KPC is recorded twice to receive this year. First on the 5th of March, 2016, KPC was awarded as the largest taxpayer along with 24 other companies, for the 2015 tax year.

The awarding of this being one evidence of KPC's commitment to be a good corporate citizen who is responsible and bears the title of best practices in implementing good corporate governance.

"Thank God, we are grateful and thank the Ministry of Finance for this award. May it be a trigger for a better performance of KPC and continue to contribute to the central and local government finances through royalty payments, "said GM Finance KPC Rio Supin.

Deputy Finance Minister Mardiasmo says, the average non-tax revenues in a decade of contributions have reached 29% of total national income. Therefore, it gives appreciation to the mandatory pay-abiding.

"In this decade, the average contribution of non-tax revenues reached 29% of the total revenue of the State. Non-tax revenues are expected to be managed in a more professional, transparent and accountable," Mardiasmo. (*)
