KPC Wins Four CSR Awards and GDP Awards 2024
PT Kaltim Prima Coal (KPC) received four CSR & Sustainable Village Development (PDB) Awards 2023 which were organized by the Ministry of Villages, Development of Disadvantaged Regions and Transmigration together with the Indonesian Social Sustainability Forum (ISSF) at The Westin Hotel, Kuningan, South Jakarta on Tuesday (7/5/2024).
PT Kaltim Prima Coal won the Gold Category award for the Resilient Women Providing a Safe Climate Program with a score of 90.61 and the Diverse Village Spirit Program to Get the Love of Nature with a score of 90.63. KPC also received the Silver category award for the PAMDes Service Digitalization Program to Boost BUMDes (Village Own Entreprise) Performance with a score of 87.19.
The Excellent category award was also given to the Chairman of BUMDes Rantau Pulung Rahmat Hidayat for his commitment to Accelerating Village Development and Village SDGs with the essay title: Optimizing BUMDes through the Work of Village Youth.
This award was handed over directly by the Vice President of the Republic of Indonesia, Mr. Ma’ruf Amin, Minister of Villages, PDT and Transmigration, Mr Abdul Halim Iskandar to Mr. Wawan Setiawan, General Manager External Affairs and Sustainable Development (ESD) and Bp. Nugroho Dewanto from Community Empowerment KPC, and also received by Bp. Rahmad Hidayat (Chairman of Rantau Pulung BUMDes).
Officially opening the 2024 CSR & GDP Awards, the Vice President (Wapres) of the Republic of Indonesia K.H. Ma’ruf Amin also expressed his appreciation for the participation of the business world in efforts to achieve sustainable development goals. “I appreciate BUMN and private companies, BUMDes and other local actors who continue to be committed to their CSR programs and help the government achieve development targets. “I hope that the target recipients of CSR must really be considered so that it is appropriate and beneficial for rural communities and can encourage inclusive and environmentally friendly economic development,” said Ma’ruf Amin.
The Vice President also asked BUMDes to continue to innovate to create businesses or ventures to optimize community empowerment. “Community must also be able to forge itself to be superior, more creative, innovative and adaptive to the dynamics of change to contribute to nation development,” said Vice President Ma’ruf Amin.
By giving this award, Ma’ruf Amin hopes that companies will be increasingly motivated to make CSR programs a priority according to their business processes.(*)
